NZEI Planned Strike Action

Kia ora koutou,

We have been advised of planned strike action by members of NZEI, which includes teachers and support staff who are union members. For the health and safety of all students, particularly those with additional needs who require 1:1 support, our school will be closed on Thursday, 23rd October 2025, as we will not have sufficient staff available to safely supervise students.

Additionally, the Teacher Only Day scheduled for Friday, 24th October 2025, was planned at the start of the year. Professional learning is scheduled for this day, so the school will also be closed for students on Friday.

We understand that these closures may cause inconvenience and sincerely appreciate your understanding and support. Please make alternative arrangements for your child’s care on both Thursday (strike day) and Friday (Teacher Only Day).
